Run Spot Run works through creative agency Trooper LLC to purchase media for the Oregon State Fair. 2014 was the first year of the advertising partnership. Significant changes to the media mix have been partially credited for dramatic attendance and revenue growth.


Media plans included radio, television, outdoor, online video ads, display banners, and social media ads. The broadcast buys were both on-air and digital including in-banner video on television websites and streaming spots on Pandora.

Media Relations

Run Spot Run digital partner, Royle Johnson, developed the website and managed all digital advertising and marketing, including social media.

The final results from both 2014 and 2015 are confidential, but the client was happy with the increased attendance and revenues.

The Website

An important aspect of purchasing media for the Oregon State Fair are media relations. Working closely with the fair’s public relations consultant, Run Spot Run helped set up on-air television interviews, radio “jock talk,” and free concert mentions.
